Pee Wee Eagles Suffer First Home Loss
Despite a (20-0) loss against the Blair Gold team, the Arlington Pee Wee's showed great defensive strength in their first home game. Dayton Fox started the game with a tremendous kick to the Blair Gold team. Kevin Dunklau, Trey Baker, Jared Becker and Matthew Rassmussen screamed down the field to stop the Blair team dead in their tracks. Dylan Morgan followed by a hard hit to the quarterback, creating a fumble on the field. Both Troy Theis and Kyle Reinhardt highlighted a strong series of offensive runs with two consecutive fifteen-yard runs. The Eagles kept Blair off the board in the first quarter after three consecutive sacks on the quarterback by Kyle Reinhardt, Mathew Ostrand and Jared Becker.
Nick Mohon broke the stride of Blair in the second quarter as he dove through the air to stop Blair's long run. Matt Cory, Ryan Coufal and Erik Soll took a bite out of Blair as they put the pressure on with a surprise blitz. J.D. Kauffman took advantage by driving Blair back 10 yards. Zach Cottle followed by dropping the QB like a side of beef.
Despite these efforts, Blair scored twice on Arlington by the end of the third quarter and once again in the fourth quarter. The Eagles will play Yutan next Sunday at noon in Arlington.
