Eagles Suffer Defeat by Elkhorn

The Arlington Pee Wee Eagles suffered another defeat as they played against the seasoned Elkhorn Rams.    Quarterback Kyle Reinhardt started the game off with a series of pass plays to
Jared Becker and Nick Mohon.  Despite these spectacular plays, they could not get on the board.  The defensive team kicked in with Bryce Keber making a stunning tackle as the Rams started their first quarter drive.  J.D. Kauffman , Matthew Rassmussen, Colton Harper and Nick Mohon followed up by keeping the Rams from scoring in the first quarter.

Iron man, Troy Thies fought the Rams defensive line in the second quarter to make a number of hard earned gains for the Eagles.  Despite their efforts they couldn't turn the tide to score in the second quarter, but suffered an eight-point lead by Elkhorn at the half.  The special teams including Britton Adams, Dillon Thies, Kevin Dunklau and Trey Baker, started the fourth quarter by kicking off a twenty-two yard punt and holding the Rams at the forty-two yard line.  Sam Stark, Erik Soll, and James Ruwe worked like three sticks of dynamite to blow holes in the Ram offensive line.  Jared Becker followed in by pummeling the Rams as they attempted a series of runs.  Brad Thomas put additional pressure on Elkhorn and recovered a fumble from the frustrated Rams.  Despite these efforts, the Rams end the game (26-0).

The next game for the Eagles will be at home against Blair on October 8th at noon.  Be sure to bring your camera as this will be your last chance for personal team pictures.
