Arlington
Jr Midgets lose to the Cowboys
It had to be one of the nicest days of the year as the Arlington
Jr Midget Eagles received the pigskin from the Elkhorn Cowboys in
Elkhorn
on Saturday.
The
Eagles effectively shut down the middle run Saturday, with key tackles
from James Becker and Johnny Smailys. However, they had difficulty
stopping the run on the outside. On
the offensive side of the ball, linemen Aaron Doll and Trevor Koger
blocked fiercely while running backs Ross Miller and Christopher Gorton
moved the ball on some important drives. Despite their best efforts, the
Eagles suffered a defeat with the final score standing at 30-0. They
play next week at home on Saturday at
11am
against the Gretna Gold.
