It was a great but cold day for the Eagle Midgets against the Northwest Tigers.  In the first half of the game the Eagles had three completed pass made by Mitchell Thompson and one by Cody Erickson.  As the Eagles started out they had several attempts to make a touchdown.  With Cody Erickson and Cory Moravec’s runs the yards started to add up but the score was still 0-0 by the end of the first half.

In the second half of the game the Tigers struggled to make yards while the Eagles were flying to the first touchdown of the day.  With the help from Cody Erickson,

Derek Kenkel, and Cory Moravec, Mitchell Thompson ran a one yard touchdown to put the points on the board.  With the extra point from Matt O’Dell’s kick the Eagles were a head 7-0.  As the Tigers got the ball great tackles were made by Dillon Goodwater, Matt O’Dell, and Tanner Moyer.  The Tigers had no where to run so they were forced to punt.  That was when Cody Erickson ran a 65 yard punt return to put the Eagles once again in scoring range.  As Cody Erickson changed to quarterback, Erickson’s pass is completed to Colton Wehmeyer for the second touchdown for the Eagles.  That would end the game with another win.  Coach Burianek says, “great job to both the offense and defense including Cody Erickson, Cory Moravec, Colton Wehmeyer, and great first half for Zach Erickson.”  The Eagle Midgets will next play at Dana College field against Blair Silver on October 14 at 4:00 pm .
