The slight breeze and hidden sun was perfect for football in Springfield on Sunday morning, which is exactly what the Eagles Pee-Wee team thought.  The first half of the game was full of great runs by the Eagles running back, Kaden Greene, but they couldn’t seem to find the end zone.  Luckily, the Eagles were playing great defense, keeping the first half of the game scoreless.  With 3:30 left in the third quarter, Greene ran for a 61 yard touchdown, putting the Eagles up 6-0.  The extra point was ran in by quarterback, Andy Tyler.  With 5:17 left  in the game, the Eagles fumbled, giving the Trojans the ball on their own 35, and a good chance to tie up the game, but with 2:20 to go, Ethan Gubbels recovered a fumble from Springfield ’s quarterback.  The Eagles did not score again, but they did hold on to the ball for the remainder of the game, making the final score 7-0 Eagles.  The Eagles next game will be on Saturday, the 8th, at 11:00 a.m. on their home field, taking on Hickman.
