   The Eagle Midgets came out prepared for a win they didn’t think it would be this easy.  In the first quarter Cody Erickson ran in a 60 yard touchdown to start the first half with a score of 6-0 Arlington .  With the Eagles defense knocking down Gross the Eagles were unstoppable.  Cody Erickson tackles the quarterback for a third down and 20 for Omaha Gross.  Then Cory Moravec’s 30 yard punt return starts the Eagles for their next scoring drive. Cory Moravec makes the second touchdown for thirty yards with only two
minutes left in the first half.  Nick Burianek makes a big tackle against Gross and makes them hurt.  The Eagles aren’t done scoring yet.  Mitchell Thompson passes 20 yards to Cody Pearson for his first touchdown of the year.  That would end the first half with a score of 21 Arlington and Omaha Gross 0.

In the second half of the game, Gross gets the ball at the 40 yard line.  With two tackles made by Coleton Wehmeyer and Tanner Mastin Arlington gets the ball back at the 20 yard line.  Then Cody Erickson runs in a 1 yard touchdown and Derek Kenkel runs the ball in for an extra point to make the score a 29 to 0 Eagle’s game.  After a few flag penalties and a few more sacks Zach Fitz intercepts the ball but as the plays go by the time runs out for an Eagle Midget win against the Omaha Gross team.  Coach Fitz says “The offense did really well especially Cody Erickson, Cory Moravec, and Cody Pearson moved really well.  On the Defense side Tanner Schmit, Nick Burianek, and Matt O’Dell on sacks and Derek Kenkel all did really well”.  The Eagles next Midget game will be October 7^th at 4:00 at Arlington Football Field against the Northwest Tigers.
