The Arlington Eagle Midgets battled the Elkhorn Cowboys in Elkhorn this past Saturday. 

The Cowboys came out strong. Cory Moravec, Cody Erickson, Zack Erickson and Cole Buckley played some 

good early defense but the Cowboys scored a touchdown. Arlington quarterback Mitchell Thompson threw a 20 yard pass 

to Nate Neary but the drive stalled.  A 20yard punt return by Cory Moravec highlighted the Eagles first half.
            In the second half the Eagles struck early.  Neary returned the kickoff 50 yards and two plays later Neary scored 

on a 20 yard pass from Cody Erickson.. Matt O'Dell and Tanner Moyer made some big defensive plays but the 

Cowboys scored another second half touchdown.  The Eagles drove down the field toward the end of the game 

but ran out of time.  Arlington Coach Jeff Burianek said "The defense played well, great job by Matt O'Dell, Tanner Moyer, 

Cody Erickson, and Zach Erickson.  On the offensive side Nick Burianek, Micheal Wiese and Cory Moravec did a 

great job" During this week's practices the Eagle Midgets will continue to work on both offense and defense for 

their next game on Saturday September 29 at 1:00 at Macaitis field against Gross Orange.
