Who We Are

Arlington Youth Football Club (AYFC) was founded by Arlington High School football coaching staff, alumni and Arlington parents in 2024. We are a youth tackle football program offering two levels of play: a 5th-6th Grade team and a 7th-8th Grade team, allowing athletes to compete within their appropriate age and grade groups - with no weight limits.

Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive, and beginner-friendly environment where Arlington youth can learn tackle football, build confidence, and grow as teammates - on and off the field.

No experience needed. No Try-Outs. Safety-first certified coaching.

Our regular season includes matchups with nearby teams such as Reading, Melrose, Stoneham, Wakefield, Wilmington, and Watertown. Our home games are held at AHS’s Pierce Field. The AYFC is a proud member of the NE Commonwealth Football and Cheer League (NCYFC). The NCYFC is a non-profit organization affiliated with American Youth Football and Cheer.

What Parents Are Saying

"Since the start of the season, my son has become much more responsible. He is incredibly happy being on the team. He feels like part of something bigger than himself, which is fantastic. He will exercise in the mornings. He’s more focused at school. And overall just really positive and I love seeing him so passionate about something"

- Sarah (parent of 8th grade player)

"My son has had an incredibly positive experience with Arlington Youth Football Club. From the very beginning, the program has emphasized not only skill development and teamwork, but also sportsmanship, confidence, and having fun. The coaches create a supportive and safe environment to help the players grow as a team"

- James (parent of 7th grade player)

"When our son joined the youth football team, it’s like they all became brothers. They worked together and supported each other for a common goal week to week. Now he’s already training at the high school (for next season) with a diverse network of friends/teammates (spanning 9th-12th grade) making the transition to high school much less intimidating for a freshman"

- Jennifer (parent of 8th grade player)

"Our son enjoyed developing his football skills, learning from the great football staff and being a part of the sport he loves the most. This speaks to the team itself, the boys, and the coaching staff. He is very ready to play next season!"

- Laura (parent of 5th grade player)

"We instantly saw a positive change in our son once he joined Arlington's youth tackle program. A child that historically would not embrace structured sports, was suddenly locked in, motivated, showing accountability, and leadership. He was even voted team captain by his teammates. Talk about coming out of your shell! He told me his only regret was not signing up years earlier"

- Jim (parent of 8th grade player)

“Both my sons played in the youth football program this year and had such a great experience. They loved being part of a team, working hard and wanting to improve not just for themselves but for the whole team. They both made new friends and the team really felt like a family. It also strengthened the relationship between my sons. It was such an amazing experience and we’re looking forward to next season”

- Danielle (parent of 6th&8th graders)
